I did not set out to become an author. I set out to find the truth. For over six years, I have traced my family’s lineage through the fields of Kent, the Highlands of Scotland, and into lands and archives most people never see. That search revealed more than names and dates — it revealed a legacy. A living connection to centuries of history, from the Lords of Marden to the House of Árpád, the Plantagenets, the Tudors, the Stuarts, and the Windsor line. Along the way, I have written more than two dozen books — some historical, some investigative, some deeply personal. They range from sweeping historical accounts (The Lords of Marden: A Pattenden Legacy, The Lords of Marden: Our Story Through the Ages) to memoirs (The Royal Burden – Life in the DNA of Kings) and works that examine truth, identity, and legacy (The Lie That Sounded Nice).
